Automatic Turners
Hobby Master introduced automatic turners, widely used in the U.S. as a labor-saving device, to increase the hatchability of eggs which was then dependent on manual hand turning. Hand turning of eggs becomes labor-intensive when implemented on a regular incubation schedule with the success of egg hatches hanging on the operator’s diligence to perform the egg turning. Hobby master acknowledges this as another burden in the never-ending chores of a farm operator or backyard raiser which is the reason why all Hobby Master incubator series was designed around the system of automatic egg turners.
Fiberglass Construction
Another developmental aspect which raises the bar on other Filipino made incubator, is its entire fiberglass construction. Designers mulled over
whic material was best to use: plastic? tin? or fiberglass? Eventually fiberglass was chosen because of its durable, plastic-like properties making it ideal when keeping in mind the need for incubators to be constantly cleaned. Another factor was that, unlike plastics, fiberglass offers a more durable heat-resistant property, able to withstand up to 160°F heat without warping or melting. Fiberglass technology employed in the production of Hobby Master incubators conform with up-to-date procedures used in the U.S. and Europe which uses spray technology to impregnate color into surfaces eliminating the need to apply external color paints which ultimately chip off and fade because of constant cleaning.
